Dear Colleague,
As you are aware, the study of learning and memory has changed significantly in recent years. Our understanding of the brain and its affects on human behavior has changed not only how we view the field, but also how we teach our students. The time has come for a textbook that reflects these advances in the field. In the fall of 2007, we will be publishing our text, Learning & Memory: From Brain to Behavior, with Worth Publishers.
Our goal is to write a comprehensive, accessible, and engaging introduction to learning and memory that spans and integrates behavioral processes, brain systems, and clinical perspectives, encompassing both animal learning and human memory. This book should be for everyone – we have assumed no prerequisites so that the book is accessible to students from all backgrounds and majors.
Please feel free to contact us at gluck@worthpub.com with any questions or suggestions that you have about our book. We’d love to hear your thoughts about the book, and to work with you to create a new curriculum and paradigm for teaching the next generation of students about learning and memory.
Best regards,
