1. Download CDLink for
Macintosh or Windows.

2. Install the CDLink Application.

For Macintosh: The file you download should be "unstuffed" with a program like Aladdin Stuffit Expander. This may happen automatically, depending on which browser you are using. For more information or to obtain the free Stuffit Expander Application, go to Aladdin's Web Site. Once the application is "unstuffed" it is ready to use.

For Windows: The file you download should be saved to your hard disk at a location you choose. When the download is complete, go to the downloaded file and run it (double-click it). The files needed will be decompressed, and CDLink will be ready to use.

3. Configure CDLink.

This proceedure will vary depending on your Web browser. You can read a Configuration Guide, or simply try this test first:

EJECT CD

Clicking this link will, in Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer, bring up a dialog that will ask you to "Pick an Application" for a new kind of file. Select this option, then navigate to the folder on you hard disk where CDLink was uncompressed, and select CDLink as the application for these files. If, after this procedure, your CD-ROM drive ejects, you've successfully configured CDLink. If not, read the Configuration Guide for more information.
