Configuring CDLink Manually Open your browser's Helper Application configuration dialog. In Netscape Navigator, this is found under the "Options" menu in the "Preferences" item. In Internet Explorer, this is found under the "Edit" menu in the Preferences:File Helpers" item. Add a new MIME type of type application, subtype x-cdlink, extension vcd. Set the helper application for this new MIME type to CDLink Kernel (this will tell your browser to launch CDLink Kernel when files of this MIME type are received). Close the dialog, saving your changes. To confirm that everything is working, prepare your system to play audio CDs. If necessary, refer to the documentation that came with your computer or CD-ROM drive. Then insert any audio CD into the CD-ROM drive, and click this link: Play CD Your browser should launch CDLink, and the CD should play.
