I hope you enjoyed this simulation. It should have given you a better understanding of the conversational power of a computer, and perhaps a little more insight into the nature of nondirective counseling techniques.

But I hope you also realize that programs like this cannot do justice to the Rogerian approach. A computer is an unthinking, unfeeling machine, not an active, empathetic therapist.
