Sadness

The characteristic facial movements associated with sadness are:

1. The inner corners of the eyebrows are raised (and may be drawn together), producing wavy horizontal wrinkles on the forehead.

2. The inner corners of the upper eyelids are raised, producing an inverted-V wrinkle in the upper eyelid.

3. The corners of the lips are turned down and/or the lips may be trembling.
