Integration of inputs

In this schematic illustration, inputs from neurons making excitatory synapses with the central target neuron are represented by the letter E and inputs from neurons making inhibitory synapses with the letter I. You may activate or deactivate each synapse by clicking on the E or I to make it green (active) or red (not active). Experiment with the synaptic connections to see if you can make the target neuron fire or not.
