Purpose of this module

This module will allow you to conduct a simulated experiment on the role of the hypothalamus in the control of food intake and weight regulation in rats.

You will be able to simulate the effects of either electrical stimulation or electrically produced destruction of two target regions in the rat hypothalamus.

You will be able to observe the effects of your intervention on the rat's eating behavior and body weight and draw your own conclusions.
